The 29th meeting of the Cotton & Rural History Micro Conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 25 at 9:50am at the Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum in Greenville.
Registration begins at 9am with the program running from 9:50 AM until 1:30 PM. The Museum is located at 600 I-30 East, Greenville, Texas.
Our keynote presenter is Dr. James Bissett, Professor Emeritus at Elon University, Elon, North Carolina, who will introduce early twentieth century rural political and religious dissent in Oklahoma. Dr. Bissett is an award-winning professor and the author of Agrarian Socialism in America: Marx, Jefferson, and Jesus in the Oklahoma Countryside, 1904-1920
Jason Morgan, Donna Okaro and Dollie Thomas will introduce the Plano African American History Museum in the lead-off panel. Thereafter Dr. Mylynka Cardona's East Texas A&M University students will introduce their new Museum exhibit, "Our Home: Then and Now."
